General Meeting: Tuesday 13th February

This meeting took place in the Diamante Beach hotel.

The guest speaker was Pamela Twissell-Cross MBE, the Welfare co-ordinator for the Royal British Legion

The speakers were from CaixaBank, explaining their Proteccíon Senior facility.

There was considerable discussion of the new laws concerning animals and inheritance taxes.

Calpe elections

New Council

The new Calpe Council has now voted. For the next 4 years (in principle) Calpe will be run by a coalition of 3 parties, and Ana Sala, the current mayor, will continue in post.

The party with the most individual votes, the Partido Poplular, who wanted to force Ana Sala out, have instead been forced into opposition.
